During the third quarter of 2025, horror games have shown varied performance on a unified platform in South Africa. Here's a closer look at the top five games based on weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Granny from DVloper saw a consistent decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 14.7K at the beginning of July and decreasing to 8.1K by mid-September, before a slight recovery to 11K by the end of the quarter. The weekly active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 33.1K in early July and dipping to 21.5K by September, with a rebound to 25.5K at quarter's end.
